Gathe Mangal (or Ghanta Karna Chaturdashi)
Gathemangal festival is filled festival of the Newar of Kathmandu Valley falls during the month of July/August. the exorcism of the devil Ghanta Karna or Gathan-Muga demon is being done on this days. These demon are erected at street crossroads. People place pots of cooked rice at such intersections for him.This festival is held to commemorate the death of that demon.
