Rajendra Lingden or Rajendra Prasad Lingden is 56 years old, an emerging Nepali politician and is current president of Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP) of Nepal. Linden was born in Amarpur of Panchthar on September 7, 2022 BS.
He was elected as the
member of Nepal Federal parliament in 2017 general election fro Japha and He became the chairman of RPP, defeating
the previous president Kamal Thapa and
has come into the spotlight once again in Nepali politics . He is popular among
the younger generation.
Political Life of Lingden
- His political journey started in 2036 BS.
- Has studied politics and history until graduation.
- He joined the Nationalist Independent Students' Union in 2036 BS.
- In 2047 BS, he became the Jhapa District Secretary of RPP.
- He became the founding president of RPP's student organization (National Democratic Students' Organization) in 2049 BS.
- Has been worked as the party's central member in 2066 BS and then as the general secretary.
- Became the ward chairman twice from the then Goldhap VDC ward no. From 2061 to 2063,
- became the chairman of DDC Jhapa.
- defeated influential Congress leader Krishna Prasad Sitaula in the 2074 House of Representatives election
